8月8日讯 41岁的老将佩佩自宣退役，而他或许在此前就已经有所决定。

在一个月前葡萄牙在欧洲杯被淘汰出局后，佩佩就曾发文告别欧洲杯，如今看来也意味深长：

“感谢这个勇敢的国家！梦想永无止境，希望大家都能敢于梦想。葡萄牙永远加油！”

数据统计显示，佩佩为葡萄牙国家队共计效力17年，随队征战9届大赛，共出场141次，随队赢得了2016欧洲杯和2019欧国联。
